Parrots are good for life aboard a sailboat and the high seas?
I’m considering buying a yacht and living board during the next year or two and I am wondering what kind of pet would be good for navigation. Always consult with a pirate and parrot thought might be a reason, apart from the fact that she is an exotic animal from afar, as it is good to find the land, or make good companions for long trips, they can talk.
IDK what the pet on board could be better, but keep in mind that talking is not necessarily the same as the camaraderie and parrots not converse croaking sounds they can understand. Imo a basketball called Wilson would be a better partner (see Tom Hanks movie Castaway). Good luck in the examination of his great adventure, it’s really something to look forward! RJ
